[ASUP/COEASU Update] Police Allegedly Shot Protesting Male Student

ASUP-and-COEASU-strikes19.jpg

Following the meeting held at the National Complex in Abuja on Tuesday, the police on Wednesday fired tear gas and shot bullets into the air to disperse protesting students of some polytechnics, colleges of education and some NGOs in Lagos.

The peaceful protest was organised by the National Association of Polytechnic Students, Education Rights Campaign and Concerned Students Against Education Commercialisation.

The protest was to ask the Federal Government to resolve its conflict with the striking Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union.

In the Tuesday meeting in Abuja, hope dimmed as the Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike disclosed that the Federal Government is confused and in a difficult situation on how to resolve the prolonged strike of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics ASUP and the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union COEASU which are in its 8th and 5th month respectively. Wike said this at a re-conciliatory meeting with the ASUP president Chibuzor Asomugha, COEASU chairman, Zuba Ahmed Lawal and the president, Nigeria Labour Congress NLC Abdulwahed Ibrahim Omar, convened by the Hon. Aminu Sulaiman-led House of Representatives Committee on Education.

The minister made it known that he arranged a meeting with ASUP and proposed the payment of the outstanding arrears in installments but ASUP rejected the proposal.

According to Wike, sequel to the rejection of the proposal by the ASUP, the Wages and Salaries Commission wrote a letter also rejecting the proposal, thereby compounding the situation. ASUP and COESU began strikes in September, 2013 and December, 2013, respectively.

NAN reports that the protest, which took off from the Yaba College of Technology, was disrupted at Evans Square in Ebute Meta.

Scores of armed policemen, who arrived at the Evan Square in Hilux vans, fired tear gas and bullets to disperse the protesters.

At the sound of gunshots, the protesters, passers-by and residents of nearby Adekunle, Carter and Simpson streets took to their heels.

A protester alleged that a stray bullet hit an unidentified male student in the hand, while several others students were arrested and whisked away by the policemen. The situation resulted into traffic jam at Ojuelegba, Ikorodu Road, Herbert Macaulay Way, Jibowu, Mushin, Yaba and Sabo.

National Coordinator Education Rights Campaign, Mr Hassan Soweto, said during the protest at Jibowu Roundabout that the aim was to urge the government to end the strikes.

He said that the demands of the unions were genuine and would help to adequately train manpower that could enhance technological development of Nigeria.

Minister, WAEC Never Warned Against Conducting Exam At Chibok – Borno SSG

jona-SHETTIMA.jpg

Borno State Government, SSG, Ambassador Baba Ahmed Jidda, has faulted claim by the National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Adamu Ahmed Muazu, that both the Minister of State for education and the WAEC, had written to the governor not to allow exams go on in Chibok, but that the governor insisted.

Speaking with journalists in Lagos yesterday, Jidda, who showed the reporters the purported letters from both the minister and WAEC, challenged Muazu to produce the letters which asked the state government not to conduct exams at Chibok.

The SSG showed the reporters the letter the state government wrote to the Police, asking it to provide security on daily basis, to all exam centres, including the school in Chibok, based on the request made by WAEC.

He said, “there was no where in the letters where they asked us not to conduct exams in Chibok. In any case, the minister does not even have the locus standi to direct the governor on such matters.

We provided logistics as requested by WAEC. We wrote the Police too, to provide security on daily basis, as per the request from WAEC.

“But let me reiterate here that at no time did we receive any letter either from the police, WAEC or even the minister, advising us not to hold the exams in Chibok. At any rate, as at the time of the exams, Chibok was considered as one of the safest locations in the state.

“In actual fact, the minister’s letter only asked that security be provided for WAEC officials in Federal Government Colleges in Borno State. The letter did not request that security be provided for students, let alone Chibok students. So, I see Muazu’s claim as not only ridiculous, but one that smacks of mischief”, the SSG, added.

On the claim by Muazu that the governor was not in the country at the time Jonathan was to visit Chibok, Jidda again said, it was not true.

He said: “The governor went to London for a different purpose and not just to grant interviews.
However, as soon as we got information that the President was on his way to France, and would make a stop over in Chibok, my governor cut short his trip to return to Borno. And while we were waiting to receive the President, we got the information that the President’s visit has been called off.”

Politicians Behind Boko Haram Sect

Boko-Haram-Shekau-jonathan1.jpg

Prominent politicians who threatened to make Nigeria ungovernable for President Goodluck Jonathan after the 2011 presidential elections are behind the violent activities of the Boko Haram sect, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Victor Umeh, has said.

Umeh, who spoke in Enugu, said “disgruntled” politicians with “inordinate ambitions” are behind the current level of insecurity in the country.

He said, “There is no doubt that the various threats to security in this country are driven by the inordinate ambition of faceless politicians in the country.

“We cannot forget completely that in 2010 before the general elections in 2011, some prominent politicians in this country threatened that if Jonathan ever became the president of this country, they will make the country ungovernable and since Jonathan became president in 2011, that threat has become a reality – the country is being destabilized, the president is hugely being distracted from pursuing his transformation agenda.

“As people try to associate Boko Haram with religious bigots, I have always seen it differently that the spate of terrorism being passed through in this country is the handiwork of disgruntled politicians.

“It may be possible that some elements may have been recruited to do that, but it has been a joke carried too far.”

The APGA chieftain expressed concerns that the activities of the terrorists could ultimately undermine democratic rule in the country.

“We in APGA are calling on everybody for soul searching, sober reflection and thoughts on what the future of the country portends.

“We are lucky to have had fifteen years of uninterrupted democracy but certainly the signals are not encouraging to want this democracy to endure.

“People have used their personal interests to drive public actions and this is not the way it is done in civilized societies.
“When people’s personal interests are not guaranteed, they threaten the corporate existence of the nation,”he added.

Urging Nigerians to unite behind Jonathan, he said, “The people fomenting this present situation cannot reap from it during the 2015 general election.

“Nigerians are not daft and we know the things that are holding the country down.

“Boko Haram insurgency is an issue that should not be personalized to question the competence of a leader because even America is finding it difficult to deal with terrorism.

“The war against terrorism is not fought and won overnight.” Commenting on the ongoing national conference, Umeh noted that signals from the confab are not encouraging.

According to him, the national conference appears to have“turned into a dialogue between two deaf men.”
The APGA leader, who said his party was behind Jonathan, said the confab has not offered solutions to the problems faced by the country.

Jos Bomb Planners Arrested With Arms $ Ammunition – Maj.-Gen. Olukolade

soldiers-nija5.jpg

The Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, on Wednesday, said security agents had arrested one suspect in connection with the May 20 bombing in Jos Central Market, Plateau State.

He made the disclosure at a joint news conference by the National Information Centre, Abuja. He said the suspect was already providing the lead for subsequent aspects of investigation into the incident.

According to him, security agencies are carrying out nationwide surveillance and that the surveillance is yielding positive results.

Olukolade said,”A number of persons, who are planning to continue the bombing spree, have also been arrested.

“But as a mark of vigilance of the security agencies, as well as the citizens who are giving useful information, the bomb planners were apprehended.

“Troops have continued to raid locations and in the course of which, a number of arrests have been made in places like Kachia in Kaduna State and Zamfara.”

The defence information director said arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects, adding that the raid would continue so as to check violence in the country.

He also confirmed the killing of 25 security personnel, comprising 12 soldiers and 13 policemen at Buni Yadi town, Yobe, by the Boko Haram insurgents on Tuesday.

He said, “I wish to confirm to you that there was a massive attack on Buni Yadi town in Yobe, where some gallant soldiers and policemen lost their lives.

“The casualty stands at 12 soldiers and 13 policemen, as revealed by initial investigations into the incident.”

Aregbesola’s 2nd term is a settled matter in Osun – Hon. Famurewa

Hon.-Famurewa.jpg

‎‎His Excellency ‎Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the State of Osun deserves a second term. No wise one changes a winning team. He is a political colossus of our time in Osun, this cerebral, irrepressible and indefatigable Governor was one time a works Commissioner in Lagos State under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I a‎m very sure nobody has surpassed his achievements in Lagos State as Works Commissioner. His political pedigree is phenomenal and incomparable.‎

In retrospect, the seven and half years reign of PDP in State of Osun virtually crippled the state in all facets of human endeavor, but the people voted Aregbesola as the one to deliver the state from its precarious state at that time however, the wish of the people was frustrated.‎ In 2007, PDP frustrated our efforts but on the 26th of November, 2010, the Appeal Court sitting in Ibadan restored the hope of Osun people by declaring us the winner of the April 2007 gubernatorial election in the state. This is a great victory for democracy and rule of law, since then it has been success unlimited.

Indeed leadership is all about rendering service to the people and this is the hallmark of APC as a party and we will not stop at ensuring that dividends of democracy is delivered not only to the good people of the State of Osun, but to all Nigerians as a whole.‎ I want to tell the world that there is gold in Aregbesola, a vote for him is a vote to banish hunger, banish poverty, provide employment opportunity, provide good health care services, maintain communal peace and improve on the economy of the State of Osun with innovations introduced and promoted as the second phase of his administration commences soon.

With God on our side Aregbesola’s second term is a done deal”- Honourable Ajibola Famurewa represents Atakumosa East/West and Ilesa East/West Federal Constituency of Osun State.

[EKITI 2014] Labour Party Thugs Shot APC Chieftain, Vandalize Properties in Ekiti [PHOTOS]

LP-THUGS5.jpeg

Scores of All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Ikere-Ekiti were on Saturday visited with terror by suspected thugs of Labour Party (LP) while their properties were also vandalized.

The generator, standing fans and chairs in the APC secretariat in the town were brought out of the office and set on fire. Campaign billboards and posters of APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, right from the outskirts of the town to its streets were also not left out of the orgy of violence.

The incident which happened while the Labour Party was rounding off what it termed its South senatorial mega rally left residents of the town fleeing for their lives at the sound of gunshots and rampaging thugs who were brandishing various dangerous weapons.

A chieftain of APC, Otunba Femi Ayodele, was shot in the neck while his office was also vandalized.

Narrating his ordeal from his hospital bed at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Otunba Ayodele, who could hardly speak, said he was alerted by people that his office was being vandalized by Labour Party members who had come for a campaign rally in the town.

“I was at the engagement ceremony of one of my brothers when I was called around 4PM that Labour Party members had vandalized my office. I immediately called the Police and they promised to be there.

“Thirty minutes later, I decided to go to my office to see what had been done. I saw a dark giant man destroying everything in my office. On sighting us, he fled. Seconds later, a Labour Party branded bus conveying armed men drove by. They were shooting sporadically, while everyone took cover. It was in the process that something hit me in the neck. I later found out that it was a bullet. I was initially taken to the General Hospital in Ikere from where I was referred to the Teaching Hospital here in Ado-Ekiti.”

Another victim of the attack, Funso Daramola, who is also a son of the APC women leader in Ikere, had his shop vandalized.

According to him, he was in his shop when one of the hoodlums identified him as a member of APC, leaving him no choice but to run for his dear life. He later returned to find his shop vandalized and looted by the hoodlums.

“I was in my shop when they came and started vandalizing Fayemi’s billboard in front of my shop. One of them pointed at me, saying I am an APC member and that they should deal with me. I quickly ran away because I couldn’t fight them as they were armed with guns, axes and cutlasses.”
Daramola said the hoodlums were wearing LP vests, adding that he also identified a known thug from Ondo State, Ade Basket, among the hoodlums.

“They said they came with Governor Mimiko,” Daramola said. When our correspondent visited the office of Otunba Ayodele who was shot, virtually everything in the office had been vandalized. The mother of Otunba Ayodele, Mrs. Rachel Abe, also spoke with newsmen.

“All of us were at an engagement ceremony when we were informed that my son’s office was being vandalized by Labour Party members. On arriving here, we saw two men destroying everything in sight. People warned that I should not go near the office so that the hoodlums might not attack me.”

The Senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district, Anthony Adeniyi, said the chairman, ward chairmen and the women leaders of APC in Ikere-Ekiti were holding a meeting at his residence when they learnt that a member of the party, Otunba Femi Ayodele, had been shot by suspected LP thugs.

“We quickly halted the meeting when we learnt of the attack and that there was pandemonium in town. As a lawyer, I had been doubting the allegation that the Labour Party is unleashing terror on people, but with what we witnessed in Ikere yesterday (Saturday), vividly, by being around at that time and going out to see for myself…One of our honourable members, Yomi Daramola, who was coming from Ilorin was pursued when he got to Oke-Ikere, near St. Peter. They were going to machete him.

“Another person in my ward was attacked. My ward is almost about 1 kilometre from the venue of the rally. They moved into the place and met him where he was relaxing at a beer joint. They went and axed him, not even machete. He is in the hospital now.”

[Revealed] How Omisore’s plan to assassinate some notable APC leaders in Ife failed

omisore1.jpg

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress have accused the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, of plotting to assassinate some notable leaders of the ruling party in Ile Ife.

They said the plot was to abort the commencement of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola reelection campaign holding in the town on Tuesday.

The APC leaders in Ife Zone, led by a lawmaker, Mr. Folorunsho Bamisaye, said this at a press conference on Sunday.

Bamisaye, who is the Chairman, House of Assembly Committee on Education, said that the party had notified the police about the plan.

He commended the police and other security agencies for working round the clock to ensure that violence was not allowed to abort the campaign.

The lawmaker said that Aregbesola would start his campaign at Ile Ife.

Bamisaye said, “The PDP held a rally in Ife last week, and after the rally, they met at a hotel where they concluded the arrangement to begin to kill leaders of the APC starting from tonight (Sunday night).

“We have reported this to the police.”

Bamisaye stated that Aregbesola would win convincingly because he had done very well for the people of the state. He said the governor had constructed 15 roads in Ile Ife, and about 40 roads in other local government areas in Ife.

But the media aide to the PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, said the allegation was evidence that the APC was becoming jittery.

He described the allegation of plotting to kill APC leaders as unfounded and a diversionary attempt from the non-performance of the present administration.

He said, “These series of unfounded allegations against PDP and its candidate are mere noise from the APC which has nothing tangible to base its campaign on.

“They are signs of a drowning party looking for what to clinch to for survival. This is the time to talk about programmes and manifestos, and not about Omisore did this, he did that.”

[Asup Strike] Request - Letter To Suspend Strike

ASUP-book.jpg

1.0 Sequel to the series of appellate meetings held by the Management of the Polytechnic with the Leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Bida Chapter, including the interactive meeting held with the same group by the Chairman of the Polytechnic Governing Council (His Excellency, Col. Theophilus O. Bamigboye) on May 7, 2014, for the Union to at least suspend the lingering National strike (like many others had done) to enable the Polytechnic commence and complete the Second Semester of year 2012/2013 Academic session. Management met on Friday May 16, 2014 to review the non-response by the Union to all the pleas and to critically look at the impact of the strike as it affects all facet of life in the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, most especially the students and staff of the Institution.

Consequently, Management has resolved that to avoid total collapse of this Institution, all staff on strike should suspend their actions immediately and resume work to enable the Polytechnic, at least, commence and conclude the year 2012/2013 Second Semester as it had been confirmed that this Polytechnic is lagging behind all the other 22 Federal Polytechnics in the country in all spheres of Academic activities.

2.0 The action by the management is premised on the following:

a) It has been observed that the National strike has been lingering on for more than necessary despite genuine intervention by well-meaning individuals and groups such as the Committee of Chairmen of Federal Polytechnic Governing Councils, COHEADS, students, Emirate Council and others. While the Management shares the sentiments of the Unions for fighting a just cause, the impact of the strike could no longer be borne by the Federal Polytechnic, Bida and God forbids, if action is not taken now, it may lead to the total collapse of the system here.

b) It has been confirmed that currently, some of the Federal Polytechnics did not join or had suspended their participation in the on-going strike, to attend to their peculiar challenges

Jonathan May Be Nigeria’s Last President -Former Gov. Orji Uzor Kalu

KALU-AND-MEDIA.jpg

Former Governor of Abia state, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, while speaking with airport correspondents yesterday as he returned from a trip to the UK, said if things are not properly checked politically, President Jonathan might be the last president Nigeria will have.

“When I was travelling precisely on the 26 of April, I left this airport and I spoke to the airport correspondents and I said there was a need to collaborate with international organisations. You see, this issue is not about President Goodluck Jonathan. If we don’t take time and work together as Nigerians, Jonathan might be the last Nigerian President. Jonathan might be the Gorbachev of Nigeria. And that is the truth, so we better wake up. Political class, business class, military, civilians must now stand up to work for our internal security. Internal security is more important than anything we have done and I believe that once we are able to come together Nigeria will be alright. As of now the country is in pains; the country is in problem and some people are taking it very lightly.

We are suffering from pains of our people; we are suffering from pains of the Nigerian system. This is not about which part of the country you come from, it is about Nigeria. Nigerian people should take what is happening seriously and I am surprised that the political class and the private sector are still joking with this matter. This is a serious matter.

Anybody’s child can be kidnapped; whether it is at Chibok or any other place, Nigerian should take this matter seriously. Can you imagine how many Nigerians that have been killed; how many of us that have been wounded. I want people to be as wise as my grandmother. I want people to take this matter seriously. Those girls kidnapped are our sisters; they are our daughters. It is because none of us has lost anybody that is why to some people; it is looking like a joke. We should stop taking this as a joke and take the matter very seriously in order to move forward. We should not lose what we have.

We should be able to come together as one family and fight because if we don’t take time; I repeat it for the second time, Jonathan will be the last president of the name Nigeria.

Government can negotiate formerly or informally. It can send agents to negotiate on its behalf without getting involved. The US does this in Afghanistan and other places. It can negotiate formerly or informally” he said

[Asup Strike] Names Of Some Federal Polytechnic That Did Not Join Or Had Suspended Their Participation In The On-going Strike

ASUP2.jpg

It has been confirmed that currently, some of the Federal Polytechnics did not join or had suspended their participation in the on-going strike, to attend to their peculiar challenges.

This is similar to what is obtainable in Bida, today. Amongst such Polytechnics include Auchi, Bali, Damaturu, Offa, Kebbi, Ede, Nekede, Ilaro and Ado-Ekiti.

Also about twenty of the Federal Polytechnics had concluded their 2012/2013 Academic sessions before joining the strike.

Crisis As Gunmen Take Over Lagos Street

Lagos-police-boss-Umar-Manko.jpg

Gun reports tore through the sky on Tuesday afternoon after some hoodlums took over Jones Street, Ebute Meta, Lagos State.

As of 3.30pm when our correspondent left the area, residents could be seen running helter-skelter, as shops were locked while other people were holed up in their houses.

There has been a running supremacy battle in the area between certain gangs which left several people killed.

The hoodlums were identified as Otto Boys.

A young girl, who provided our correspondent shelter while the gunshots lasted, said,“This has been on for some time now.

Those people shooting are very wicked and have been entering into houses and stealing people’s things.

“Those who don’t have anything are either maimed or shot dead.

After they are through with the shooting, they will come to this area and start breaking bottles on the floor. I advise you to quickly run for your life because they will soon surface from where they are shooting.”

Our correspondent learnt from a shop owner, who spoke from the locked gate of her shop, that the incident had been on for three weeks, while the police had not been able to handle the crisis.

Our correspondent observed from a safe distance Jones Street was deserted, while the men were shooting.

A Rapid Respond Squad truck and a police van were parked on Odaliki Street, a few metres away from the incident.

Our correspondent learnt from a source that the Otto Boys were a deadly gang in Ebute Meta and stayed in a slum to evade arrest.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ngozi Braide said, “I am aware of the incident. There was a problem there caused by some Otto Boys, and as you can see, the police are handling it. And it’s not up to three weeks that this started. We have beefed up security and normalcy has been restored in the area.”

List Of Nations To Contribute Troops Against Boko Haram

boko-haram-helicopter.jpg

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati, said in Abuja on Thursday that Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Cameroon, Niger and Chad will contribute one battalion of troops each to the international force set up to combat Boko Haram and other insurgent groups.

Abati said the decision to contribute the additional five battalion of troops to the international force was reached at the regional Summit on Security held in Paris, France, last Saturday.

“Nigeria and other countries in the sub-region will continue to cooperate and coordinate efforts to combat the Boko Haram menace. The countries will come together to put in place an effective border management regime.

“No effort will be spared to stop the proliferation of small arms and light weapons and the supply of arms and equipment made available to terrorists,’’ he said.

Abati noted that Jonathan considered the measures very useful aspects of the concerted international effort to combat terrorism and put an end to the Boko Haram menace.

He added that the President had directed relevant government agencies to ensure enhanced implementation of relief programmes in the areas affected by Boko Haram atrocities.

Akunyili getting better, not dead

prof-dora-akunyili.jpg

Contrary to the alleged rumour making the rounds that the immediate past Minister of Information and Communication, Prof. Dora Akunyili, is dead, an aide yesterday claimed that her condition “continues to improve” in an Indian hospital where she is receiving treatment.

Prof. Akunyili’s media adviser, Isaac Umunna, in a statement quoted her husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili, as saying that “she is better today than she was yesterday.”

The husband insisted that “her condition continues to get better everyday.”

Dr. Akunyili, who spoke on the phone from India last night thanked “Nigerians for their prayers for his beloved wife, urging them to continue to pray for her full recovery.”

The former minister on Sunday afternoon thanked Nigerians, saying their prayers on her behalf are working.

She said: “I am comforted that prayers are going on for me in churches and mosques as well as in homes. God is answering the prayers He has already healed me. I am only waiting for the physical manifestation of the healing. I’m grateful to all Nigerians. I look forward to recovering and coming back to rejoice with you all.”

Prof. Akunyili was first attended to by doctors in Abuja after she fell ill. She travelled to India the next day based on doctors’ advice for further medical attention.

US Forces Can Handle Boko Haram, But…

boko-helipcoter1.jpg

Anchor: Let’s bring in retired general Carter Ham, the former commander US Africa command. General, the United States military team has been sent in to advice the Nigerian government on how to handle this, there are US drones in the air and other intelligence resources. What would you need to know before green lighting a rescue mission?

Ham: Well Jake, (referring to the CNN anchor)the first thing you need to know is that this is primarily the responsibility of the Nigerian government and perhaps now the responsibility of neighbouring countries, if indeed some of the girls has been moved to those countries through the very porous borders. The US government has long been guided by an appropriate principle that says, “We seek African solutions to African problems, and the US to help in a way that we can.” I think that is what we have seen playing out in Nigeria today.

Anchor: Well that is fair enough, but Amnesty International did report that they warned the Nigerian government before the raids something like four hours ahead of time but the Nigerian government was not able to do anything or was not willing to do anything about it. So I think there is a reason to question whether the Nigerian government is able to do any rescue operation like this. Is that fair?

Ham: Well, I certainly understand that there are those who question that and certainly about the allegation made about the pre-knowledge about the attack are worthy of investigation. But right now, the Nigerian government I believe, the United States and other countries assisting the Nigerian government are fully focused on the first problem, which is find the girls and that got to remain the urgent priority.

Anchor: let’s assume that the girls were found and let’s assume that the Nigerian government would have asked the US government-I am going to give you a lot of assumption now and let’s assume that President Barrack Obama and the US public were all willing to do this. I guess one of the biggest question now is, would the US special force be able to go and rescue these girls without Boko Haram just turning around and slaughtering the girls are the first sight of a US soldier.

Ham: Well Jake you have asked a multiplicity of ifs strong together. The United States have extraordinarily accomplished special operation forces that can accomplish and have demonstrated actually that they can accomplish these kind of very sensitive missions. This one is significantly complicated by the lack of infrastructure in the region and by what I suspect the dispersing of these girls into multiple locations, probably into multiple countries. It is highly a complex issue. But again, it begin with the intelligence work to find where these girls are being held.

Anchor: One soldier I spoke that I spoke to said, “He will smoke these guys in their hearth beat, but he does not see any national security reason to do so. What do you think?

Ham: Well I think Boko Haram in my view has been a problem in Nigeria an important partner of the United States and secondly that have become increasingly violent and now broadcast on the international stage how horrifically violent they have become. They are a destabilising influence in an important region of Nigeria and increasingly more broadly across West and Central Africa. So if left unaddressed, the problem just gets lager. Again in my view I think Boko Haram leaders have stated that they aspire to attack the United States, its persons and interest. I don’t think they yet have the capabilities to strike the home land, but they are certainly a destabilising influence in the region and that is not in our national interest..

[OAU IFE] SUG Shuts Down Academic Activities Over Hike In Fresh Acceptance Fee

IFE.jpg

Student Union Government of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife ensured academic activities were brought to a halt on Monday Academic as they protested the alleged increase in acceptance fees for new students.

The authorities of the institution have just announced an increase in the institution’s school fees from seventeen thousand naira to seventy thousand naira incoming students.

This development did not go down well with the students who trooped out to protest what they described as over thirty per cent astronomical increase in their school fees. One of the students who pleaded anonymous said the increment is not justified and cannot stand.

“This fee is actually for the Freshers but there is an iota that it will stem down to Stalites, if we fail to fight now, we might be losing completely.

He stressed further “The SUG decided to adopt the strategy of Negotiation first but after Negotiation the management only decide to deduct 17,000 from the fee threatening to shut down the school”

“Today the Student Union Government has declared a Total Paralysis of activities in IFE so we can sensitize the Public on our Plight and let the school know that we have not lost the Ever ta-tan spirit in us”

But the institution’s public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olanrewaju said the increment became necessary because of inadequate funding by the federal government and the need to maintain academic excellence.

He added that the new fee regime is only for the incoming students and not the old students. “The protest is absurd. Those the students claim they are fighting for have paid up. Many of the fresh students had paid online from home. The fee was arrived at after a thoughtful consideration by management; the fee is legal and considerate.”

All academics and commercial activities within the campus environment was brought to a standstill.

[CHIBOK SCHOOLGIRLS] Why Governor Shettima Call Asari Dokubo Is A Fool

05/DOKUBO1.jpg

The Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, has said he would not join issues with a Niger Delta activist and ex-militant, Asari Dokubo, Mr. Shettima stated this in a statement on Monday by his spokesperson, Isa Gusau.

The former governor was reacting to media reports on Monday quoting Mr. Dokubo as alleging that no girl was abducted in Chibok and that Governor Shettima and his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, staged the kidnap to hit at President Goodluck Jonathan ahead off 2015 elections.

“Governor Shettima is too serious minded to reply Asari Dokubo who is just a joker as most Nigerians regard him,” the spokesperson said.

“As a onetime journalist covering the Niger Delta, I had come in direct contact with Asari when he organised a rally in support of late Gaddafi in Port Harcourt and also when he organized the 2011/2012 Isaac Boro lecture in Port Harcourt which he kept interrupting, taking over the microphone from people like respected lawyers like Festus Keyamo, intermittently speaking without protocol and without shame like a child.

“He is just a joke, no reasonable Nigerian takes him serious. He was reported saying Chibok abduction was a scam, I won’t be surprised if by next week the same Asari Dokubo leads another rally to counter the one he just held. Last year, Asari was reported speaking against Presidency, then he changed tune now we don’t know what happened but that is how he is, he uses the media for personal interest and some sort of blackmail.

“He wants to be regarded as a hero but I tell you that no one sees him as such in the Niger Delta that I had covered. He is trying to force unwilling public to see him different from who he is but like a say goes, ‘you can fool some people all the time, you can fool all the people sometime but you cannot fool all the people all the time’.

“Asari dubiously took advantage of Isaac Boro event which attracts participants to say what he said so that the procession would seem like a support base for his isolated opinion. I saw some pictures of some girls in one house displaying some placards, from the faces, I think he probably assembled some of his immediate and extended family members and gave them placards.”

He alleged that, “One person wrote on all the cards, the same writing, all of which look like a sort of Mickey Mouse scene in cartoon series.”

“How can Governor Shettima reply a jester, how can he respond to such a play by Asari that falls far below the standard of Nollywood when he is busy working very hard with all relevant bodies finding ways on how to secure the freedom of his and Borno’s precious daughters in captivity?” Mr. Gusau said.

The spokesperson said Asari Dokubo is one of those creating negative impression about the presidency.

“(The) earlier the Presidency distances its self from Asari, the quicker his childish views don’t do further damage to those he tries to please,” he said.

Apologetic Messi Says Future Depends On Barca Fans

Madrid - Barcelona striker Lionel Messi insisted Monday he remains committed to the club despite a disappointing trophy-less season but would only stay on as long as it felt "affection" for him.

Messi agreed a new contract with the club worth a reported 20 million euros ($27.4 million) net a year just last week.

However, he was booed by certain sections of the Camp Nou crowd as Barcelona narrowly missed out on winning La Liga on Saturday in a 1-1 home draw to Atletico Madrid, who took the title for the first time in 18 years in a dramatic title decider.

"It is the people of (Football Club) Barcelona who will decide my future but my decision is to continue since I still sense that they feel affection for me," the Argentine star wrote on the Chinese online messaging platform Weibo.

"But if that were not the case I would look for a solution, because I will always want the best for this club."

Barca ended the season without a major trophy for the first time in six years forcing coach Gerardo Martino to quit after just one season in charge.

Messi said it had been a "hard year, personally and as a group", and apologised to fans, promising to do better next season.

"We had an opportunity to achieve an aim in the last match and we did not manage to seize it," he wrote in his message.

"I just want to say sorry to all the Barcelona fans and promise them that this coming year we will do justice to the club and achieve big things."

U.S. Reaches Agreement with Nigeria on Intelligence Sharing

Washington - The United States has come to an agreement allowing it to share some intelligence with Nigeria to bolster the search for more than 200 girls kidnapped by Islamist rebel group Boko Haram, the Pentagon said on Monday.

The U.S. military is flying manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft over Nigeria, but had been unable to directly share intelligence with Abuja because it had not established protocols with the government.

Pentagon spokesman Colonel Steve Warren said that agreement was struck over the weekend.

"We have finalized an agreement with the Nigerians to share intelligence with them - specifically intelligence relating to the kidnapped girls," Warren told reporters.

While the agreement would allow the U.S. military to share some intelligence - including aerial imagery - with Nigeria, it did not mean that all raw U.S. intelligence gathered could be shared, Warren added.

The Pentagon's announcement follows a meeting in Paris over the weekend where West African leaders agreed to work together to combat Boko Haram, saying the group had become a shared threat.

Boko Haram has killed more than 3,000 people in its war to establish an Islamic state in mostly Muslim northeast Nigeria. Nigeria's neighbors Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin, and Western officials, met in Paris to flesh out a plan enabling them for the first time to share intelligence, coordinate action and monitor borders.

Don Jazzy Joins #BringBackOurGirls Campaign

Lagos - Boss of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy has joined the now famous #BringBackOurGirls campaign.

The business mogul and ace producer, joined the fight on his Instagram page, while on a trip to Paris.

“If you like move our girls underground. We will find you. And you can't escape the wrath of God. You will be kissed by Karma. #BringBackOurGirls”, he said.

Over 200 girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents in the town of Chibok in Northeastern Nigeria on April 14.

Traditional hunters want to find girls

Maiduguri — Traditional hunters armed with home-made guns, poisoned spears and amulets have gathered in their hundreds, eager to use their skills and what they believe to be supernatural powers to help find nearly 300 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram.

Some 500 hunters, some as young as 18 and some in their 80s, say they have been specially selected by their peers for their spiritual hunting skills and have been waiting for two weeks in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital and the birthplace of Boko Haram, to get backing from the military and get moving.

With the country's military accused by many citizens of not doing enough to rescue the girls, the hunters demonstrated their skillsto an Associated Press reporter on Sunday. With cow horn trumpets echoing eerie war cries from the screaming and chanting men who twirled knives and swords with dexterity, occasionally stabbing and cutting themselves with no apparent harm.

The hunters claimed their magic charms prevented any blood being drawn. They also trust amulets of herbs and other substances wrapped in leather pouches as well as cowrie shells, animal teeth and leather bracelets to protect them from bullets.

The appearance of the hunters from three northeastern states underscores how deeply the 15 April mass kidnapping - and the government's apparent lack of action - has affected Nigerian society. It has spawned demonstrations and a tidal wave of commentary in media including social sites like Twitter and Facebook.

A spokesperson for the hunters stopped short of actually criticizing the military.

"We're not saying we are better than the soldiers, but we know the bush better than the soldiers," said Sarkin Baka. The hunters said they gathered here at the suggestion of a state legislator.

A military spokesperson did not immediately respond to an emailed question from AP on whether it would take advantage of the hunters' local knowledge. In contrast to the age-old stalking and tracking skills offered by the hunters, US aircraft and camera-carrying drones are searching for the girls. Military teams from America, Britain, France, Spain and Israel with expertise in surveillance, intelligence gathering, counter-terrorism and hostage negotiation are also present.

15 April; Police say more than 300 girls and young women were kidnapped from a boarding school in the remote northeastern town of Chibok, in Borno state and about 130km south of Maiduguri, on 15 April. A total of 53 escaped and an estimated 276 remain in captivity, according to the police.

They were driven into the nearby Sambisa Forest, according to witnesses. Unverified reports from two federal senators from the region and Chibok residents quoting villagers in the forest and elsewhere indicated some of the girls may have been forced to marry their abductors and some may have been taken across the border into Cameroon.

Nigeria's military insists that it is diligently searching for the girls and says near-daily aerial bombardments of the forest that began in mid-January were stopped to avoid accidentally hitting the girls.

"Our troops are out there combing the forests and all other possible locations searching for our fellow citizens. International support is also there assisting the process," Mike Omeri, a government spokesman, said Friday.

Some parents of the abducted girls say villagers in the Sambisa Forest tell them they haven't seen a uniformed soldier in the forest. Pogu Bitrus, a Chibok community leader, said the savannah type openness of most of Sambisa, a national game reserve, should make it easy to survey from the air, though the extremists are believed to have camps in densely forested parts.

The insurgents recently bombed the only bridge linking Borno state to Cameroon and Chad, where they have hideouts in mountain caves and another forested game reserve.

Leaders from Nigeria's neighbouring countries including Benin met at a French-organized summit this weekend in Paris to co-ordinate curtailing the insurgency that threatens the region. British, US and European officials also attended. Meanwhile, the hunters say they are reaching the end of their patience.

"We are seasoned hunters, the bush is our culture and we have the powers that defy guns and knives; we are real men of courage, we trust in Allah for protection, but we are not afraid of Boko Haram," said one elderly hunter, Baban Kano.

"If government is ready to support us, then we can bring back the girls. But if they are not, they should tell us so that we can disband and return to our homes and family."

A 28 year old man identified as Ahamehule Chukwu, a resident of Eliozu community, in Obio/ Akpor LGA of Rivers State has been arrested by officers of the Rivers State Police Command, for allegedly murdering his 21-yearold girl friend identified as Ifeayinwa Ani.

The lifeless body of Ifeayinwa, who is reported to have been head over heels in love with her lover-turned-killer to the extent that she moved him with him even though they were not yet married, was discovered in front of the Eliozu Health Centre by the Chief Medical Officer of the centre, Dr. Ama Flag-Amachree, recently. *graphic pic after the cut* Continue...

Dr. Flag-Amachree who reported the matter to the Okporo Divisional Police Station, disclosed that she notice three incisions on Ifeanyiwa’s buttocks which she had reason to believe where caused by injection syringe. The Chief Medical Officer told the police that Ifeayinwa’s lifeless body was dumped in front of the health centre by unknown persons.

But according to police investigation, Ahamehule who attended Government Technical College, Port Harcourt and his heartthrob had a cosy relationship until he alleged that the late Ifeayinwa started receiving some suspicious phone calls, supposedly from members of the opposite sex.

Ahamehule tearfully confided in the police during questioning that he was enraged by the frequent calls from unknown persons, and in anger, he asked Ifeayinwa out of his family house where they had been cohabiting since 2012. Ifeayinwa’s father, Godwin Ani, told the police at Okporo Police Station that Ifeayinwa, his fourth daughter, was cohabiting with Ahamehule before her death.

Ani told the police that he never approved of his daughter’s decision to move in with her man, saying he had gone to Ahamehule’s family and asked his daughter to return home, but his plea fell on deaf ears, even as Ifeayinwa had claimed that Ahamehule owed her the sum of N51,000, and vowed not to return to her father until Ahamehule paid his alleged debt.

Upon Dr. Flag-Amachree’s shock find and the statement made to the police by Ifeayinwa’s father, the police at Okporo Divisional Police went to Ahamehule’s family home to arrest the suspect, but discovered that he had absconded from his family home. Ahamehule later came to the police station with his lawyer. Ahamehule in his statement to the police stated that he saw Ifeayinwa last in November last year.

He disclosed that he gave her N20, 000 which she needed for an abortion. Speaking on the matter, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Tunde Ogunsakin, stressed: “It is important that parents should stress the importance of living a responsible life to their children…

Abortion is a dangerous option, and so people who have no desire to raise children should abstain… many things are happening. We need to properly instruct our children and wards,” he said.

Ogunsakin, however, said that the matter has been referred to the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Command for further investigation, adding that Ahamehule will be charged to court if found guilty.

Postpone 2015 Elections by 18 months- Confab Delegate to Jonathan, INEC

ABUJA – A Delegate representing the South South geo- political Zone of the country at the on- going National Conference, Chief Okon Osung has called on the Federal government and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to postpone the proposed 2015 general and Presidential elections by at least eighteen (18) months, just as he said that the nation’s democracy must be preserved.

Inec3.jpg

Addressing Journalists in Abuja yesterday, Okon Osung noted that with the present Nigeria’s National history and the insecurity challenges with Boko Haram engaging in massive killings of persons and wanton destruction of property in some parts of the country as well as cases of kidnapping, holding elections February next year was no longer feasible as it has become imperative for Nigeria to have a declaration of a Presidential or National Assembly politico- administrative moratorium.

Osung who is a member of Committee on Public Finance and Revenue and former Chairman, Nigeria Election Monitoring Group during the June 12, 1993 Presidential election and declared that the annulled election was free, fair and won by late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, noted that the proposed temporary postponement of the elections would help guarantee security and peace throughout the Nigerian Federation.

The former National Vice President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ who noted that the issues raised were purely personal, however warned that if the present crises in the country were not properly managed and elections conducted, it would be a deadlock and the probability for military intervention is high, adding that after the 1979 election where the defunct Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN was a very strong opposition to the defunct National Party of Nigeria, NPN, this period opens up another strong opposition with the emergence of All Progressives Congress, APC to strongly challenge the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and there appears to be a serious desperation among the parties and politicians to win power come 2015 that may result to flash points.

The Delegate who noted that Nigeria was at a cross road and at the threshold of such a momentous decision- making moment, said, “There comes a time in the life of a nation when weighty but life-changing decisions that have prospects for bringing about turning points for the good of society must have to be taken. Our country, Nigeria, is at the threshold of such a momentous decision-making moment. Such critical moments occur not only in the lives of developing nations such as Nigeria but also in the evolution of advanced industrialized countries. For instance, faced with excruciating circumstances such as confront Nigeria today, and in compliance with the National Emergencies Act of 24th January 1995, President Bill Clinton of the United States signed the Executive Order Number 12947 whose actual import was not a declaration of a general emergency but a limited embargo on trade with “Terrorists Who Threatened To Disrupt the Middle East Process”, which national emergency was expanded in 1998 to include such additional target as Osama Bin Laden.

Imo Govt. Builds 27 Specialist Hospitals In Each LG – Okorocha

gov_rochas_okorocha1-300x187.jpg

The Imo Government says it is constructing specialist hospitals in each of the 27 local government areas of the state at the cost of over N20.2 billion.

Gov. Rochas Okorocha said this while taking visiting editors round the projects on Saturday.

He said that each of the hospitals would concentrate in treatment of specific medical condition such as cancer, brain tumor, kidney, heart, among others.

The governor said that the contract for the project was awarded at the cost of N750 million per unit.

He said that the hospitals, when completed, would be managed by a foreign company for a period of 10 years.

Okorocha said that patients seeking medical care would be required to pay N200 only as part of measures to make their services accessible and affordable to the people.

He said that an Israeli company was also building a state-of-the-art hospital in the state capital to reduce medical tourism, adding that work on the project was nearing completion with some of the equipment already on ground. He said that hospital, when completed, would also provide Tele Medicine facilities.

According to him, the government has constructed a children park to foster recreation among children in the state.

2 Pirates Killed, 6 Arrested in Gun Duel With Navy

Nigerian Navy (NN) personnel drawn from Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Benin and NNS Ikot-Abasi, have rescued a distressed oil tanker, MT SP Brussels at the Lagos anchorage, killing two of the pirates who had hijacked the vessel and killed two crew members.

The oil tanker with International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and MMSI numbers 9387164 and 538003624 respectively, is registered in Marshall Islands with a length and beam of 118 and 18 metres respectively.

With its call sign reading as V7MI7, the 35 gross tonnage vessel and 14 metric tonnes container capacity of products, had last communicated its position on April 11, when it was at UTC terrestrial heading to its destination at Lagos offshore when it was hijacked.

It was gathered that the oil-laden vessel was accosted at about 120 nautical miles outside Lagos waters, en route from Port Harcourt, by eight heavily armed pirates who overtook them in two speed boats.

While two of the pirates remained on each of the speedboats to man it, six others boarded the oil tanker vessel and in an exchange of gun fire with the two police escorts attached to the vessel, shot dead two of the crew members; an Indian and the Captain.

It was gathered that after the pirates had successfully disarmed the police and taken possession of the vessel, the frightened crew members made up of Indians, Pakistanis and Ghanaians had fled to the Citadel (a place to hide for safety on board ships) to hide.

However, immediately the pirates searched the vessel and discovered it devoid of human life, they went straight to the Citadel and brought them out. The pirates set sail to go offload the stolen products onboard the vessel, but unfortunately, the NN had gotten wind of the attack and gave them pursuit.

Both naval vessels had cut off the escape route by the pirates and a gun duel ensued but the navy had the upper hand with the level of weapon handling and marksmanship gained from their frequent Small Arms Firing Exercise (SAFEX) trainings.

Negotiate With Boko Haram Or Fight, Negotiator Tells FG

A former negotiator between Boko Haram and government, Shehu Sani has urged the Nigerian government to negotiate with Boko Haram to secure the release of more than 200 girls held by the terror group.

Sani who spoke to CNN said the Federal Government may have to embrace the unpalatable option of a prisoner swap if it wants the girls back, adding that if the FG was not ready to negotiate, then it must brace up and fight.

“There are two ways to which you can get these girls free,” Sani told CNN’s “Connect the World” show.

“The first is to use force, and the second is through dialogue. The use of force is not an option for now in the sense that nobody knows where these girls were kept.

“And even if you know, these girls have been embedded in with the insurgents who are heavily armed. And any attempt to rescue them will be putting their lives in further danger,” Sani said. President Goodluck Jonathan has ruled out the option of negotiation since the terror group gave the option in a video released last week.

Rescue efforts have continued, but no real breakthrough have been recorded by security operatives in locating the camp of the dreaded Islamist sect group or where they are keeping the girls.

A summit on the security situation in Nigeria has held in France, with Nigeria and its neighbours at the summit declaring war on Boko Haram, raising doubts the government would consider negotiating with the terror group.

[Shekau strikes again] Kills 16, abducts five policemen, 10 Chinese workers

Boko Haram terror, at the weekend, raged in Borno State where 16 persons were feared killed in a fresh attack. In two other attacks, five policemen were reportedly abducted with their armoured personnel carrier (APC) while a Chinese was killed and 10 others kidnapped during an overnight attack in Kuseri Village between Gamboru Ngala council and Cameroun.

The attacks put President Goodluck Jonathan and his counterparts from Nigeria’s neighbouring countries meeting in Paris, France, yesterday, under pressure to come up with concrete steps to address terrorism in the sub region.

The missing/abducted policemen were identified by sources as Inspector Luka Maina, Sergeant Manya Chaka, Corporals Hassan Dauda, Emmanuel Onoche and Umar Ali.

Our correspondent gathered that the Banki incident took place on Friday at about 9:50 in the morning when some policemen attached to Banki Division were attacked by terrorists while trying to drop six of them at the junction road who were to proceed to their promotion course examination and interview.

Another source said, “ Five policemen attached to Banki, a border town with Bama and Cameroon Republic, were attacked by Boko Haram. The terrorists opened fire on the APC No: NPF4960c conveying the policemen led by an inspector and five others. The policemen quickly dropped from the APC and ran into the bush before the terrorists went away with the abandoned APC. As I am talking to you now (yesterday), the whereabouts of the policemen are yet to be known and we suspect the terrorists might have kidnapped or killed them”.

Borno Commissioner of Police, Mr. Tanko Lawan, confirmed the abduction of the five policemen and the seizing of the APC. The 16 persons were feared killed when some gunmen allegedly attacked Ngubdala village near Ngurosoye community in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

The killing of the Chinese and abduction of the 10 others, reportedly took place at an encampment used by the Chinese road workers close to Chibok where some school girls were kidnapped April 14.

“The Boko Haram militants were heavily armed, they came in five vehicles”, an official in Waza, a town near the site of the attack, said on condition of anonymity. He said the camp where the Chinese road workers stayed was usually guarded by soldiers from Cameroon’s elite Rapid Intervention Battalion, but many of the troops were in Yaounde for a military parade.

“Cameroonian soldiers retaliated and the fighting lasted until 3 a.m. (0200 GMT)”, said a local police chief. He said one Chinese worker was killed and 10 others had been missing since the attack and were believed kidnapped by the Boko Haram gunmen.

A source close to the Chinese embassy in the Cameroonian capital, Yaounde, spoke of 10 missing and one wounded but would not confirm or deny whether one had been killed.

Folorunsho Alakija Shares Testimonies Of Her Success

One of the richest black women alive, Folorunsho Alakija has shared the testimony of her success. She says she was turned down 3 times and it took her 3 years to achieve part of what she wanted, but it paid off after all. She also explained how she had to put God in between and told Him, if He blesses her, she will serve him till the end of time. Her words after the cut.

It was not a planned thing at all. A friend actually contacted me that some people wanted to buy crude oil and she was wondering if I will be able to get them to make the purchase. I got an appointment with the Minister of Petroleum and he told me that it's not the way to go because there wasn't much profit in selling it and because it's a foreign company that Nigeria is imposed at selling its crude to international market. That it will be better to look at other things. I went back to my friend and told her what the Minister said.

Then it seemed as if that door was shut but something else came up. I chose not to walk away so I went back to offer another service which was catering services. And yet again I was shut down. I did not give up, I just knew that something had to come out of it. I spoke again to some friends in the oil industry and I was told to ask to be able to supply transportation services for those who are purchasing crude within the country but I was shut down again by the minister.

Then the last time I went to see the Minister, he told me that the government wants Nigerians to be involved in Nigeria's exploration and production. That it has been the multinationals that have been taking advantage of the oil business in Nigeria. So I was like OK...probably this is not the likes of me.

I felt like there was no point coming back but honestly, I'm not the type to take no for an answer. So I began to ask questions, I began to knock on doors, I began to seek information and in the long run, I applied for an oil bloc. But all through that time, the ministers have been changed 3 times so each time they are changed, it takes me back to the bottom of the ladder and I will have to start all over again but I still did not give up.

The whole thing started in January 1991 till the end of 1993. I kept going, kept going, kept praying, in-between I became a born-again Christian. That was when I knew the lord. When I was 40, I decided to enter a covenant with the lord that if he blesses me, that I will serve him for the rest of my life and then I got the oil license. It eventually came after 3years but I did not get the one I wanted."

Speaking about her husband’s role in her business, she said;

"My husband was solidly behind me. There were many times that I will go back home crying and he would tell me to stop crying and he would tell me to stop crying that after all, we are not starving, we are very comfortable. I had his support financially, morally because I had a settled home. I had a balanced relationship with my Husband and my children. All that helped me to dare to make a difference."

Romantic Ways to Make Him Always Rushing Home to You

bc.jpg

It’s the delight of every woman to be cuddled in the warm and smoothing embrace of her man after the day’s work. It’s the delight of every man to be welcomed home with a smile by his woman. It’s an inexplainable little but sweet feeling of satisfaction, presence and security. Though, it’s unfortunate that some women misses that “spot-light” and possibly replaces the “welcome home honey” moment with some other uninteresting lines.

But one thing is important – Home is Rest! And anything that doesn’t give your partner that well deserved rest should not be part of the home. If you really want your man rushing home like a kid chasing a new pet, here are few proven ways to get at it:

*.Always Plant that Kiss – that Welcome Home Kiss MUST not be Missing – Don’t be too Over Familiar with Your Man to Miss Out on this.
*.Wear His Brand with a Smile – Wear what He Buys For You Even if You Don’t Like it. That’s right! It Only Encourages Him to Buy the Ones You Like.
*.Wear His Favorite Evening Gown in His Favorite Color and Forward a Camera shot to Him just after Working Hours.
*.For the Moment He Just Got Home, be His “Room Service.” *.Change Your Meals – Learn More Delicacy and Spice up His Dinner Moments.
*.Halt the “Request Time” until Bed Hours – No Matter How Urgent the Request is, Make Him Well Relaxed First and then, Make Your Request in Bed. You will Get better Response.
*.Take a Picture of You in Bed wearing some “Temptations” and send it with the Caption “I Want Your Touch, Baby!”. . .Yeah, Make Some Brain Cells Rumble.
*.Sit with Him till He Finishes Dinner – You Can Ask for Permission if its Important You Leave.
*.Be-In-Charge! Experiment in Bed with Him – Try More Positions – Something Different!
*.Call Him up at Work hours and Let Him Speak to His Son/Daughter if You’ve Got Any. It’s Bonding. . .It Reminds Him More of Home.
*.Hand Him the T.V/Decoder Remote and Watch His Channel in a Romantic Posture – You can Request Yours after His.
*.Ask How His Day Went, Encourage Him if not-too-good, Applaud Him if Productive – Don’t Become a Detective of Where He Was and What He Was Doing.
*.If You just Bought a New Underwear, Take a Picture in a “Disturbing” Posture and Send it to Him During Work Hours with the Caption “Just For Your Eyes, Darling!”
*.He may want to Hangout with His Friends after Work Hours, Respect His Decision but Don’t Make it Regular.
*.Don’t Miss that Warm Embrace, See Him, Throw Yourself on!
*.Make a Card with a Bold Inscription of “Welcome Home Honey!” Just at the Door and Watch Him Smile Big as He Enters – It’s a Great Stress Reliever!
*.Buy Him Gifts with the Line: I saw this at the Store or Was just Passing By or (Mention your kid name) Asked me to Buy this for Daddy. LOL
